La etapa de hoy ha sido muy dura y el desgaste para Vendrame en la escapada ha sido muy grande. Además, ha ido de más a menos durante la etapa y creo que pagará los esfuerzos de hoy mañana. Hermans en cambio, ha intentado entrar en la escapada, pero al no meterse en ella se ha tomado la etapa con más calma. Es un corredor rápido y habituado a hacer ciclocross y la etapa de mañana le va muy bien.
